Aiden Goyke

Aiden has been playing since the age of 3, starting with his local youth recreational program, run by the East Allegheny Youth Sports Corporation. As he got older, and his commitment and love for the game grew, he played at the travel level, first for EA Impact (U8 - U12) and, more recently, for the Yough Tornadoes (U13 - present). He completed his first season of Varsity soccer where he earned a Varsity Letter as a Freshman. Aiden got his first taste of higher-level soccer when he tried out for (and made) a U11 classic team and has played at the classic level ever since. His current club, BVB IA - Pittsburgh is a great program that not only nurtures him as far as his development as a player but also as a person and he LOVES playing there. He is also a member of a futsal academy team that won the PAWest Futsal State Cup Championship in 2022 and competed in the Nationals held in New Jersey.Aiden is lightning fast and can usually be seen flying down the wing to catch up to loose balls and swinging crosses into the box to create offensive chances for his teammates. He is also a great finisher, leading the East Allegheny Middle School soccer team in scoring in both his 7th & 8th grade seasons, winning EAMS soccer's "Golden Boot”. As a team captain, Aiden is a positive, vocal leader and is always quick to smile. His effort to excel shows through in every situation. He will humbly share credit for his successes and is a team-first type of player, earning him the EAMS soccer "Unsung Hero" award, voted on by his teammates. As quick as he is to share the success, he is quicker to shoulder any blame as he is very aware of his responsibilities and takes them seriously.Outside of soccer, Aiden is a fishing enthusiast and loves watching any sports. He is a 3 sport Varsity athlete, competing in bowling and track and field in addition to soccer. He enjoys spending time with family: his brother Colin (a past SY All-American Champion and Golden Cup participant), his sister Isabelle, his parents and his dog, Hollie. Aiden is a funny, fun loving kid who always enjoys life to the fullest!!
